If you’re looking for a rustic wedding venue, then Deighton lodge could be perfect for you. This is a lovely venue, set within 3 acres of farmland on the outskirts of York city on York Road. The farmhouse has 7 bedrooms to accommodate guests, with a stunning bridal parlour for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in. There are beautiful gardens to the rear of the farmhouse, with views of acres of rolling fields, and there’s a converted rustic barn with original pitched roofs, distinctive spoked beams, bare brick walls and traditional stable doors, making it a perfect venue for both indoor and outdoor weddings. There are some other beautiful rustic touches, including the old tractor that you will see at the side of the farm track on your way in. This is a great spot for some couples photos, using the tractor as a prop, and you’re also facing the right way to catch the sunset if there is one.
