Allerton Castle

Allerton Castle

Allerton Castle is a stunning wedding venue steeped in history from the 18th century. Its a grade 1 listed building ran by The Rolph Foundation, that was once owned by the premier Baron of England, Lord Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton and, Prince Fredrick. Better known as the “Grand Old Duke of York”, and brother to King George IV. This Gothic Castle is set across 200 acres, of which you will have exclusive use of the 25 acres of grounds. It has a whole host of features, one of those being the stunning staircase in the Great Hall, which makes for some great couples photos. Its also the staircase the bride will come down for the ceremony, which takes place in the Great Hall (unless of course you opt for an outdoor ceremony).

After the ceremony, you can sign the register in the Drawing Room, which I highly recommend, as its quite a magnificent room, and perfect for some more photos. Outside are some beautiful landscaped gardens complete with a pond, which is very picturesque. Another nice location for photos is just a short walk across the lawn to the big tree, where the tree swing is. After getting some couples photos for you, it will be about time to head back for the wedding breakfast in the Ballroom, which has ornate high vaulted ceilings and chandeliers. While you enjoy your wedding breakfast, the Great Hall is transformed, ready for you to party the night away with all your guests.
