Most people know me as Andy, but Andrew Dufton and Andy Dufton are the same person, working as a wedding, family and portrait photographer based in York. The pictures above are a selection of my favourites from across Yorkshire and further afield, chosen to show how I actually work rather than a handful of posed highlights.

My approach is relaxed and unhurried. On a wedding day that usually means staying out of the way, following the day as it unfolds and photographing the quiet moments between the big ones. For family and portrait sessions it means letting people move, talk and play rather than standing them in a line, which is why so many of the frames in this portfolio are of people mid laugh or mid conversation.

Yes. Andrew is my full name and Andy is what almost everyone calls me, so you may see both used online. Either way, you have found the right photographer and the right portfolio.

Where is Andrew Dufton Photography based?

I am based in York and photograph weddings, families and portraits across Yorkshire. I also travel beyond the county when a couple or a family asks me to, so distance is worth a conversation rather than an assumption.
