Choosing the right wedding collection

Every wedding runs differently, so the collections are built around how much of the day you want documented rather than one fixed package. Some couples want coverage that begins with bridal prep and carries on through the evening celebrations. Others only need the ceremony and the few hours either side of it. If you are marrying in York city centre there is a collection shaped around a shorter registry office day, and the larger collections add fuller coverage with two photographers for couples who want the whole story from start to finish.

Andy is based in York and works as a York wedding photographer across Yorkshire and North Yorkshire, as well as further afield around the UK and in the US. The style is a mix of documentary and posed. Most of the day is photographed as it happens, with a short, relaxed stretch set aside for the group shots and for portraits of the two of you, so nobody spends their reception queuing for a camera. The approach is calm and unobtrusive, which keeps the day moving and means the photographs look like your wedding rather than a staged version of it.

Several collections open with a pre-wedding consultation, which is a chance to talk through timings, venues and the people and details that matter most to you. Pre-wedding portraits and engagement sessions are available too, and they are a good way to get comfortable in front of the camera well before the day itself. Videography can sit alongside the photography, and extras such as wedding albums, a personalised USB and box, a guest book or a three fold frame can be added to any collection once you have decided on your coverage.
